Here's Becky with the full report:
I'm jubilent! When I walked into speech therapy, Chuck had already said his name many times, counted and answered yes and no questions properly! I said 'good morning' and he said 'good morning' and kissed me! then we continued to ask questions which he answered with yes and no answers. We sang happy birthday and jesus loves me and he hummed along. Katherine, the speech therapist, asked if he had any sisters and he said 'no' I was sitting right there, she asked if he was kidding and he said 'yes' and smiled real big. later when he was slipping in his chair we said 'oops you're slipping' and he said 'oh well'. then we did range of motion exercises and he did 3 sets of 5 reps with a pushing a bar from his chair. The whole place was filled with joyful staff coming in to say hi to him and he acknowledged them all. At one point 12 nurses and aides gathered in and out of his room, crying and cheering! Hallelujah! Praise God, almighty! He's now sleeping the sleep of the righteous! and now it's time to feed Auburn and Becki whoo hooooo
