In preparation for imminent discharge from Edwin Shaw, Chuck is coming home all day Sunday on a "day pass" and might be coming home permanently in one week. This is heady, exciting and somewhat daunting news. Chuck and I will need assistance keeping Chuck safe for the next several weeks and possibly months as we begin the home/outpatient leg of the journey.
My intention now is to stabilize our situation at home in Barberton by creating a schedule of YMCA visits for weight training and therapeutic pool, short visits to the office and Chuck's service clubs, outpatient therapy sessions and the development of a plan for the next phase of therapy wherever that may need to take place.
We continue our adventure of unknowns.
