10/8 Dad's New Smile (from Shelley)

Well, today was the big day! After seeing the dentist, Dad came home with two new front teeth! After 14 weeks of enduring a toothless grin, he now is all smiles. What a blessing. And what a morale booster for Dad.



I literally shouted for joy when I received the picture on my phone of Dad with his new front teeth and his new smile. I called and talked to him on the phone and he said he looked pretty :)




This was the last outward “visible” sign of his assault on July 1, 2009. And although he still has a long road ahead of him with his speech therapy and cognitive therapy, he is looking more and more like himself everyday. We have so much to be thankful for.
