10/11 Dad's Visit to Findlay (from Shelley)

Dad and Auburn made their first visit back to Findlay since July! They came over to MawMaw and PawPaw's for a visit on Sunday for some of Mawmaw's famous Pumpkin Pie! Dad ate two pieces...yummy!

PawPaw played his harmonica for us and Dad joined in singing with him! How touching! PawPaw hasn't played his harmonica since his stroke last year but recently picked it up again this past week. So, to see PawPaw who is recovering from brain damage from a stroke and Dad who is recovering from brain damage from a TBI singing and playing together was truly a God-moment!

Here's a short video:

We also had a great visit with Homer Lentz. It was filled with positive memories, healing moments and God's love evident through Homer. What a blessing to have friends like him praying and supporting our family. We love you Homer!

It was also great to have Dad and Auburn visit us at our house Saturday evening! What a blessing to have my dad sitting in the recliner in my living room. We had a great talk about some of the emotional healing that has been taking place within Dad (Auburn will post more on this later). I truly believe that God is still at work within my dad bringing healing to him physically, emotionally and spiritually. And I am seeing it firsthand! As I Corinthians 2:9 says, "No eye has seen, no ear has heard,no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him."
