Chuck Sandstrom, beloved husband, father, friend and former Executive Director of the Barberton Community Foundation, was assaulted July 1, 2009 and incurred a severe head injury while tending an Akron rental. He is progressing from a coma toward a new life with new possibilities. We cheer the miracles of life, love and unity demonstrated through Chuck's recovery and the countless instances of renewed faith and changed perspective we've experienced. Hi! When my dad told me about Chuck's story, I was shocked, saddened, but also happy about how much he has recovered. I am only 11 years old, but I was touched by the story. I have done a few things to help out my community, including many mission projects through school and an all-day lemonade stand where my friends and I raised over $80 for Akron Children's Hospital. I will try to do something to help, but hey, I am an 11 year old. I can try!
