1/4 New Year, New Season

We have just returned from Findlay and are looking forward to getting into the swing of a new year. We continue to see slow, but certain improvement in every aspect of Chuck's cognition, memory and physical stamina.

This week Chuck will undergo 6 hours of intensive diagnostic testing with a University of Akron affiliated neuropsychologist to establish his baseline abilities and to gain more specific information about location and affect of the exact injured areas of the brain. Our hope is to gain more direction and possibly professional assistance in the next phase of rehab.

I've been dealing intermittently with depression in the last few weeks and attempting to walk carefully and gently with myself. My body is also manifesting some stress-related symptoms for which I will be seeking medical attention.

The management of Chuck's care and affairs continues to require a great deal of time. It still doesn't appear feasible at this time to go back to work full-time but I intend to sub at least a few days a week. I have to continue to trust that every aspect of our lives will unfold as it is meant to and in the right time.

  1. Good to have you back posting. Prayers for being gentle with yourself as you walk around the pit of depression. I, the church, Kiwanis and others can help pull you back, or put a lid on the pit. Call me. Call them.
